Carrick The Death of Von Tempsky 2020, Central Otago

The appearance show a mix of gold and yellow with a gentle hue of orange. Aromas of Riesling show first with scents of apple, lemon flesh, flowers and honeysuckle. Then aromas of winemaking deliver scents of complexity, mineral and spice. On the palate - an intriguing wine with flavours peach and ginger tea, lemon barley sugar and old flowers. There’s texture from skin tannins with a medium + ish acid line. Well made, interesting and dry on the finish. Best drinking from day of purchase and through 2023.
