Akarua Pinot Noir 2020, Bannockburn, Central Otago

Aromas and flavours of a ripe, youthful fruit and centric wine with scents of raspberry and crunchy red cherry, vanilla and clove spices, a mild toasty wood and baking spices complexity. Salivating and textured with firm mealy tannin mouthfeel, a core of red berry fruit flavours and delicious lengthy finish. Lots to like about this wine, food friendly though rather delicious on its own. Best drinking from 2022 through 2028.
