Fromm Syrah 2019, Marlborough

A bouquet of Marlborough and Syrah with a distinctive and individual varietal signature featuring a sense of place and time. Aromas and flavours of fresh black currant and dark cherry, some raspberry compote and fine savoury toasty sweetness of barrel. There’s a savoury, organic feel to both flavour and texture with a complex set of messages locked in until the wine ages and integrates. Firm tannins and ripe acid line, a core of Syrah flavours with a mild white pepper spice flavour on the finish. Tasted over three days this wine demonstrates is cellar worthiness from the image it presents on day three. Best drinking from late 2022 through 2029+.
