McArthur Ridge Reserve Pinot Noir 2020, Central Otago

Ripe and intense, varietal and youthful with aroma of dark cherry, dark raspberry, savoury forest spices and stony soil foundation. The oak aromas are sweet and spicy with a toasted barrel edginess. Overall it’s complex, youthful and inviting. Plenty of fruits flavours that reflect the bouquet are at the core on the palate. Firm tannins, wood flavours and acid line add the surrounding structure and power. Young and will age well, needs time to knit together more so best drinking from late 2022 through 2030.
