Colombo Syrah 2018, Martinborough

Varietal and youthful with aromas of very ripe black currant, dark raspberry and toasty wood spices of clove and baked vanilla. A classic pepper note adds complexity and an olive note adds breadth. Dry, youthful, firm textures and a core of fruit. A lovely wine with flavours that reflect the nose, medium+ tannins from fruit and oak and acidity adds a bracing top-line offering texture, grip, length and complexity. A well made wine with some cellar time suggested so best drinking from mid 2021 through 2025+.
