This is a seriously good wine. Aromas of gun-flint and peach, vanilla and red apple, gravels and toasty wood, apricot stone an wild flowers. Complex, engaging and fine. On the palate - Though not a full-bodied wine it doesn’t have to be - the silkiness of the initial impact on the palate is contrasted by French oak, medium+ acidity, fresh baking spices and a core of fruit. The layers of wood spice and white smoke, stony gravel soil and gun-flint add complexity, depth and character. Pure fruit flavours of sweet grapefruit and peach, lemon and apple return along with the wild flower impressions. A complete wine. A complex wine. Ready for your cellar till 2022 then enjoy through 2028+. Also enjoyable immediately with an aged Gouda hot souffle.
