Clericus Wild Pinot Gris MMXVI, Marlborough

clericus-pinot-gris.png

A fully developed bouquet of Gris with aromas of golden apple and poached pear. There’s a gentle spice layer from a short relationship with oak. A fuller weightier bouquet overall. On the palate - integrated and ready with flavours of poached pears and apple, a caramelised sugar layer then a soft vanilla and cream note. Just medium acidity, satin cream texture and balanced finish. A wine to be enjoyed upon purchase and with creamy textured fare such as soup with crusty bread with salted butter. Best drinking from today and through 2021.
