Urlar Pinot Noir 2009, Gladstone, Wairarapa
There’s no mistaking this is Pinot Noir with aromas of an aged wine showcasing old rose and leather, preserved cherry, violet, soft silty soil and integrated oak scents of baked vanilla. The palate reflects the bouquet with an integrated package of flavours, tertiary and all fused together. Old plum and leather, rose and preserved stone fruits. Tannins and wood are fully integrated, just medium acidity with a balanced, moderate length, dry finish. Best drinking from today and through 2021.
