Rockferry Orchard Vineyard Pinot Gris ‘on skins’ 2017, Marlborough

Specific and engaging bouquet with aromas of apricot and saffron, peach tea and cheese. There’s a saline and stony mineral layer then a gentle pressed flower note. On the palate - equally engaging, tense, dry and with flavours the same as the nose suggests. There’s also a fine dusty tannin feel accentuated a little with the medium+ acidity. Balanced and well made, a very specific expression. Best drinking from today and through 2021.
