Misha's Vineyard The Starlet Sauvignon Blanc 2010, Central Otago

The bouquet reflects a wine showing bottle-development with a line of lime citrus toastiness then preserved citrus peel, gooseberry, peach and dried herb moments. As the wine warms a little in glass a richer fuller bouquet emerges adding in a red apple and stone-mineral note. On the palate - tense and dry with a fine chalky and stone mineral texture, lemon and grapefruit, some gooseberry then toasty slightly waxy bottle-age flavours. Fresh, youthful, ageing well retaining a decent level of acidity and varietal charm. Best drinking from today.
