1934 by Selaks Merlot 2017, Hawkes Bay

Selaks 1934 SB.jpg

Ripe, fruity and enticing bouquet with aromas of plums and dark spices, toasty wood and a hint of farm leather. Clove and vanilla, dry stone and a touch of violet. On the palate - dry, tense, fine to moderate tannin textures with crushed stone texture, accentuated by medium+ acidity and oak impact. Fruit flavours return, but this wine can be either left to develop longer or decant and serve with food - lamb roasts or creamy seafood pastas (or similar). Best drinking from 2021 through 2024.
