Bristol Farm Pinot Noir 2016, Central Otago
A fine bouquet of Pinot Noir with complexity from primary and emerging secondary fruit aromas, bottle development complexity and a core of pinosity. Flavours of dark red cherry, undergrowth and dried herb; plum and dried raspberry, integrating wood spices and toasty French barrel flavours. There’s a decent core of acidity as well as integrating chalky textured tannins then a steely youthful finish. A wine still on its journey to complete harmony - this will come - so decant for service with best drinking from late 2021 through 2026+.

Excellent
It is always a fun and interesting exercise to taste wine with at least some bottle age. Pinot Noir often requires some settling in time to properly showcase its evolution. thanks to the team at Bristol Farm sending through this sample.
