McArthur Ridge Southern Tor Pinot Noir 2019, Central Otago
Engaging intensity with a core of varietal red berry fruit aromas, stony mineral and bright florals of rose then mild toasty wood. Fresh, bright and youthful. On the palate - youthful and tense as the tannins and acidity engage the palate first. Fruit flavours follow with cranberry and red cherry, some plum then roses and minerality. Well made, youthful, bright and lengthy. A wine to decant for service if drinking before 2021, otherwise best drinking from mid 2021 through 2024+. Best enjoyed alongside your favourite roasted lamb or tofu burger dish.
