Churton Natural State Pinot Noir 2019, Marlborough
Fresh fruits of crush red cherry and plums then scents of roses and cherry cola. There’s a whole berry sweet fruited lift with a whisper of bubble-gum adding charm and youth. The rest is pure Pinot Noir fruit. On the palate - fruity, crunchy, fresh, crisp and dry. There’s a distinctive tension on the palate with a savoury tart fruit flavour. This, along with the youthful acid line and fruit tannins, activates the salvia emphasising the texture and core of fruit driving this wine’s impact. Well made. Perhaps best enjoyed with pre-dinner snacks. best drinking from today and through 2024.
