Forrest Gruner Veltliner 2017, Marlborough

Forrest GV.jpg

Ripe, fruity, youthful and vibrant bouquet with aromas of white fleshed fruits and citrus, a light savoury herbal note then a tropical moment of pineapple then wet stone mineral layer. On the palate - delicious, fresh, crunchy texture and fruity with flavours that reflect the nose. High-ish & ripe almost sweet acidity, light- weight and vibrant with a gentle white spice, blossom and river stone minerality. This wine has developed nicely in bottle and is ready for your personal assessment. Best drinking upon purchase and through 2023. Great alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.
