Nanny Goat Super Nanny Pinot Noir 2019, Central Otago

Bottle Template (13).png

High energy, youthful bouquet with aromas of crushed black cherry and dark raspberry, no mistaking the aromas of brown baking spices of oak, a touch of bacon and toasty wood scents. As the wine begins to open up aromas of flowers and savoury spices begin to emerge. There’s no mistaking this is Pinot Noir, but it is very youthful almost quivering. On the palate - equally firm, youthful and dry with textures first from ripe tannins and acidity. Flavours of dark cherry, plum and some black currant are mid and back palate. Lots of oak, but this will subside in time as the wine integrates its various components. Lengthy finish, balanced and well made. Best drinking from late 2021 through 2026.
