Linden Estate Kanuka Block Merlot 2018, Hawkes Bay

Black cherry and plums, apple and blackberry pie, violet and toasty wood aromas. On the palate - dry and firm with chalky textured & slightly grippy tannins, medium+ acidity and oak then flavours of dark cherry, plum and berries reflecting the bouquet. A youthful expression so decant for service and serve with food - a cheese board would suit this wine well. Decant for service with best drinking from 2021 through 2025.
