Providore Pinot Noir 2018, Central Otago

Distinctive and appealing with a fruity, toasty and spicy bouquet. On the palate - delicious, dry, quite complex and tense. Flavours of dark berries and plum, some tart cherry flavours accentuate the youthful tannin and acid layers. The tannins have a chalky, stone-like texture then fruit flavours of red plum and cherry, some dried raspberry and savoury dried herb moments add depth and complexity. Well made, youthful and still coming into balance. Best drinking from 2021 through 2025.
