Eaton Thistle Hill Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough
A striking and distinctive bouquet with aromas of stone and citrus fruits fused between layers of wood spices and a little white smoke. On the palate - an immediate creamy texture transitions to to one showing the acid line of SB highlighting the barrel component then fruits of the variety. A lees autolysis suggests bread and other baked goods while the fruit suggests a mix of tropical and citrus. Overall a lovely wine with a combination of intriguing textures and flavours, but holds true to the personality of Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now and through 2022.
