A powerful and distinctive bouquet with two cores - one of fruit and the other oak - together presenting a youthful energy, power and drive. Aromas of black fruits with black currant, ark cherries and plums then suggestions of green and kalamata olives, licorice and peppercorn. The oak bouquet showcases dark spices with touch of char and boot polish, dark baking spices and brown sugar. On the palate - rich in fruit, texture and flavour with dark plums and black currant, burnt raspberry, licorice and pepper spices. A lovely wine showcasing what Penfolds do best. Drinkable today, but perhaps best from late 2022 through 2030.
