Moana Park Estate Syrah 2019, Gimblett Road, Hawkes Bay

Dark fruited, spicy and toasty with aromas of blackcurrant and licorice, pepper and baking spices of clove and vanilla. On the palate - varietal, youthful, fresh, firm textured and fruity. Flavours of dark berries and black currant layered with peppery spice and oak. Firm tannins and plenty of acidity keep the texture tense. A wine for the cellar till late 2021 then decant for service. Best from 2022 through 2029+. Needs time.
