Gibbston Valley 'Glenlee' Pinot Noir 2019, Central Otago

A lovely varietal core of fruit greets the nose with scents of black cherry and plum, dried raspberry then smoky wood spices of French barrel and quiet savoury complexity. On the palate - equally ripe and enticing with flavours that reflect the nose, firm chalky tannins and acidity to match. The savoury layer intensifies with each new sip and oak flavours reveal more baking spices and toasty layers. A lovely still harmonising, yet showing great potential. Best in cellar till late 2022 then enjoy through 2032.
