Vavasour Pinot Noir 2018 Awatere Valley, Marlborough

Vibrant, fruity and varietal with aromas of raspberry and red cherry, dark roses and earthy layers of crushed rock. A distinctive barrel spice layer with baking spices of vanilla and some clove, some mushroom and toasty wood. On the palate – dry with fruit and wood flavours that mirror the nose, fine dusty chalky tannins, medium+ (ish) acidity and length. A balanced and well made wine with a lengthy engaging finish.
