Urlar Riesling 2017 Gladstone, Wairarapa

Immediately enticing bouquet of Riesling - citrus and green apple, mandarin and white rose, a wet stone silty mineral layer and soft saline idea. Crisp, tart and dry on the palate with an intense acidity with flavours of apples and citrus, grapefruit and green tea. Very youthful, slightly tart, but lengthy and fine. A wine for the cellar. Check it again in late 2021. Well made overall.
