Astrolabe Valleys Kekerengu Coast Pinot Gris 2016 Marlborough

Ripe, fruity and varietal bouquet of Gris with aromas of white fleshed fruits including nectarine and apple, pear and peach. A wet stone and mineral spice layer, white spice and gentle lees ginger spice note. Just dry on the palate with a light creamy texture, medium acidity and core of fruit. For a 2016 this wine is showing beautifully and with plenty of cellar time ahead still - for this variety and style is pretty good. Balanced and well made with a decent finish and moderate complexity. Drink now and through 2022.
