Elephant Hill Reserve Syrah 2016 Hawkes Bay

Distinctive , fruity, ripe and complex bouquet of Syrah - aromas and flavours of baked raspberry and dark cherry, some blue fruits and plenty of baking spices and pepper. Youthful, tense and dry on the palate with pepper and toasty wood flavours first then red and black fruits, firm tannins and back bone of acidity. This wine is delicious, but needs to settle into a rhythm of integration and harmonisation over the next couple of years. Best drinking 2021 through 2027.
