The Boneline Barebone Chardonnay 2018, Waipara, North Canterbury

A plush, rounded gently creamy texture to the bouquet. Aromas of ripe yellow stone-fruits, citrus , apple and then French oak. On the palate - young, fresh, fruity and engaging with a firm texture, medium+ acidity, orchard fruit and citrus flavours. One of the Waipara regional signatures of chalk and mineral is at the heart of this wine. Combined with the acid line and core of fruit - you’ll’ need to decant or give this wine some time in cellar. Not long though. Great finish and palate feel. Best drinking from late 2020 through 2024+.
