Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California

No mistaking the swift and intense aromas of ripe Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, new oak, crushed rock, sweet hay, moments of tobacco and smoky brown baking spices. Blackberry and marmite (look it up) dark plum and black cherry. Clove and toasty barrel, a touch of boot polish and ripe bell-pepper. Overall a youthful bouquet with plenty of punch and personality. All these aromas ideas transition to the palate seamlessly with the core of fruit and power of oak leading. Contrasting and quite intense textures from fruit and wood tannins along with crunchy fresh acidity deliver a wine with power, texture and lengthy finish while maintaining a strong varietal signature of dark fruits, tobacco, baking spices and oak. Full-bodied lengthy and dry finish. Still integrating and developing, a wine to cellar or decant this morning for dinner tonight. Long persistent finish, well made, a pleasure to taste.

Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California

A youthful and still fruity bouquet of Cabernet Sauvignon. The aromas of ripe blackberry and dark forest berry fruits are equaled in intensity and aromas of oak and bottles integration. Quite complex and alluring with layers of leather and new fruit, some secondary slightly drier fruit and cocoa powder suggestions, but still holding onto some crushed rock, clay and violet scents. Dry, full-bodied and as intense as the bouquet suggests. Integrated yet abundant tannins, medium acidity and flavours that reflect the nose. Dark earth, soft dried herb , dark berry core, toasty wood and brown spices all leading to a lengthy dry and smooth finish. Well made and ready to enjoy from today and through 2026+.
