A deeply coloured red wine with aromas of black fruits, dark plums and black cherry. There’s also a core of violet, smoky oak and dark baking spices. Quite New World-like in style with the fruit aromas leading the bouquet. The signature of Italy shows with the aroma of a rustic, steely and rocky soil layer. Tense, somewhat tart, youthful and dry, on the palate. Firm - Italian Style - tannins and medium++ acidity, flavours of dark berries and dark red orchard fruit flavours reflect the nose. Medium length, youthful and overall well made. Best enjoyed with food including red meats, fresh goats cheese and soups with cream.
