Kosta Browne

Kosta Brown One Sixteen Chardonnay 2014, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County (USA)

Deep straw hues with a golden hue, very bright. A very attractive bouquet with aromas of yellow fruits, baked vanilla custard, Brazil nut and toasty wood spices. The alcohol amplifies these ideas showing off a creamy, ripe and leesy complexity. Full-bodied, creamy and fruity on the palate with flavours of apricot, peach, yellow apple and vanilla cream-pie. A whisper of banana passes by. The complexity continues to build as the wine opens up in glass. Medium acidity, warming alcohol, a nice core of fruit and oak, balanced and well made. Drink now and through 2022.
