Dry River Lovat Vineyard Syrah 2016 Martinborough

Intense and captivating bouquet of Syrah with aromas of dark raspberry, baked red berry fruits, dark and broody abstracts with smoky toasty oak. The hallmark of freshly ground pepper and meaty earthy qualities completes the aroma package. This is a ‘‘wow’ wine on the palate - complex, focused and detailed. A core of fruit flavours that reflect the nose, abundant acidity, ripe youthful tannins and a complexity that can only come from a carefully managed vineyard. This wine is drinkable today - with or without food. It can also be cellared with confidence for the next five to ten years. 97 Points

Dry River Craighall Vineyard Tempranillo 2016 Martinborough

Toasty, smoky, a core of black and blue fruits, varietal, new and enticing complexity. Blueberries and plums, dark violets and aged meat, baked field mushroom and dark spices. Dry, tense, very youthful and very engaging on the palate. Textures from tannins and acidity lead to a core of fruit - fresh and baked then toasty oak with clove and vanilla spice flavours. Youthful, vibrant, lengthy and well made. Drinkable from today and through 2026 - this wine can also be cellared and enjoyed at a later date.
