The Boneline Iridium Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 North Canterbury

There’s no mistaking the striking and distinctive aromas of Cab Franc with this wine - green olive, graphite, dark berries and old rose. The Cab Sav and Merlot offering some blackberry and plum suggestions along with baking spices of oak. A meaty almost animal layer follows. On the palate a dry wine with youthful tannins and acidity as well as flavours that reflect the nose. Youthful, quite intense, finding its balance later in 2020/2021. Decant for service before then serving with food. This wine will last through 2028 and beyond.
