Scott Base Pinot Noir 2017 Central Otago

Dark red cherry, brown spices, black tea, undergrowth, dried raspberry and plum. Some classic aromas of Central Otago Pinot Noir as well as an unmistakable layer of toasty oak. Dry, fruity and spicy with flavours that match the nose, some savoury licorice/chocolate moments, dried spices of clove & vanilla and dried Otago landscape flavours. Moderate tannin presence. Youthful still with enough tension and poise to warrant decanting or cellar time. Best from late 2019 through 2025.
