Tony Bish 'Heartwood' Chardonnay 2017 Hawkes Bay

Great bouquet of Chardonnay with a mix of ripe yellow fruits & apple then an enticing flinty mineral note adding both complexity and intrigue. The oak is apparent though very quiet on the nose showing as sweeter rather than toastier. Dry, weighty and very flavourful with apple, peach, flint, minerals, spices of fruit and wood, medium+ acidity, satin textures with a fine layer of wood tannins. Long finish. Very youthful - balanced and well made. Drink from 2019 through 2025.
