Luna Estate 'Eclipse' Chardonnay 2016 Martinborough

Old World style bouquet - reminds me a little of Burgundy - with aromas of mineral and ripe citrus fruits then white peach and a little quince. The oak is obvious but resting in the shadows of the bouquet. On the palate - more oak centric with flavours of vanilla and mild toasty wood; Medium+ acidity, light creamy textures with soft wood tannins and a stone fruit citrus flourish on the finish. Very nice example. Drink now and through 2022.
