Amisfield Fume Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Central Otago

Elegant, immediately complex and enticing with a slightly creamy textured bouquet. Aromas of white fleshed fruits and sweet barrel ferment spices melt together. On the palate the wine has a mealy almost chewy texture with ultra fine wood tannins and abundant acidity. The fruit spectrum follows with flavours of red apple, sweet grapefruit, wild flowers and a whisper of tropical fruit - perhaps golden Kiwi. Medium weighted with a persistent lengthy finish. Balanced and well made. Drink now and through 2021.
