New Year, New Beginning
I have accepted a full-time role with Rodd & Gunn as their Beverage Director & Group Sommelier, which means that I will be leaving my Senior Lecturer Role at AUT University after more than 25 years.
This new role puts me directly in the profession I love. I have been working with Rodd & Gunn and The Lodge Bar Teams for five years now, and their exciting plans for future projects means we’re going to be busier than ever. I also get to work closely with my buddy Chef Matt Lambert.
I am excited about these new adventures and challenges – and will continue writing in my magazines, website & reviews, writing and judging, and will be doing even more travelling within Aotearoa and Australia, the Americas and the UK (once restrictions are loosened).
It’s a significant change for J and me. I am looking forward to working with and for all you fine folk. There is much to do, and I am ready for the challenges. Here's to NZ wine and a wonderful 2022!
