Kumeu River Mate's Vineyard suffers damage in rain storm

The Mate’s vineyard, along with many parts of Auckland, especially the north west, has suffered flood damage from a major weather storm that hit the region over night (August 30th). As the water subsides the true damage to vineyard and vines will be revealed. The vineyard is not dead-flat so receding waters will likely take some valuable topsoil away.
