The Shout Sauvignon Blanc Tasting

In the February Issue of Shout Magazine, I reviewed 55 New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. 2020 was generally an excellent vintage for this variety and there were some remarkable examples. Style-wise, it’s clearly evolving. I noticed more texture, mouthfeel and layering. The classic pungent, fresh herbaceous, tropical fruit style was still on show for many, but even those showed purity from vine age and what clearly was a great vintage!
