Brick Bay Rosé 2020 Release

brickbayrose.png

It’s that time of the year again; the fruit trees are full of spring blossoms, our paddocks have lambs frolicking and you guessed it…our new 2020 Rosé has just been released!
2020 was, of course, a wonderful vintage due to the long dry summer; not so great for our water supply but amazing for ripening grapes. We’ve had some extremely positive wine reviews from both Bob Campbell MW and Cameron Douglas MS -  read the full reviews here.
Available to purchase now from The Glass House or online

With the arrival of spring and the warmer weather, we’ll be making our zero waste Brick Bay picnics available again from Labour weekend! So don’t worry if you left it a little late to book a table at The Glass House, just come on over and pick up a delicious picnic and a bottle of wine from our foyer to take out onto the Sculpture Trail. There are plenty of shady spots on the trail with beautiful vistas to enjoy.

JIM WHEELER MANGEMANGE

When you next visit our Sculpture Trail, be sure to look out for a graceful new work by bronze artist Jim Wheeler, titled Mangemange. Hanging from a mature Blackwood tree branch, Mangemange asks the viewer to be mindful, to slow down, to learn to be still. Mangemange does not demand attention, but rather quietly invites us to look a little longer.  The fine leaves swirl up the twisted vine in dynamic movement, the breeze picks up over the lake and the Mangemange dance begins.
Inspired by the native fern that grows at Brick Bay, this work is one with the surrounding environment and like all Wheeler's works, it propels us to think about the interconnectedness of all things in our environment.
